States part 2

Soon, we arrived at Detriot, New Jersey, airport. I believe this airport is one of the many airports in States that receives many international and domestic flights. As you can see, the airport is pretty huge and well organized! Very easy to find the gates and won't get lost so easily.

So we took our domestic flight to Newark Airport, New York. This airport is damn "lok kok" haha! Very different from Detriot airport. At the point of collecting our luggages, we were very anxious. As we were afraid that our luggages will be terrorised by the airport staff, which we heard from many of our friends who have been to the states that they will open up any bags and do random spot checks. Even in some cases, expensive items were stolen as a result. So we were very worried! The lucky thing was that we finally collected our luggages without having anything missing, but the unlucky thing was that there were two damages to the Chans' luggages! We did not do the claim on the spot as we believe that it would be very tough to do it oversea, especially in the states, thus we brought the case back to Singapore to cliam.

There were 3 coaches in total, each coach carried around 50 passengers. It was a pretty huge group I would say. Everyone was pretty punctual and corporated throughout the whole tour.

Finally, our first day of tour! Our first stop was at Chinatown, the biggest Chinatown in the States! There wasn't anything very interesting, we were there to have our breakfast before continue our city tour in NYC.

Soon, we arrived at Wall Street and the Trinity Church. We were pretty excited as this place is the world's economy centre! By the way, it was a holiday on that day. It was Thanks Giving Day! It is a big and important holiday for the Americans! Since it was a holiday, as you can see, there wasn't many people. You can only see tourists and tourists and tourists...

States part 1

Recently, the Chans and I went to the STATES! We had visited places like NYC, Boston, Nigara Fall (Almost to Canada), Washington DC, philadelphia and many more! We took Northwest airlines and transited at Tokyo, Narita Airport and Detriot, New Jersey. There were just simply too much joy and laughter to share with everyone. A picture speaks a thousand words, so I shall post more pics instead of talking too much... enjoy the photos!

Before we begin our 14 days journey to the states, we were busying securing our luggages with the lock that must be approved by the US authority. Many said that they will just open your luggage randomly for spot checks! If they can't open your luggages because you use some weird locks, they will just force their way through! Better to be safe then sorry, buy TSA locks if you going to the states!

Northwest airlines are generally fine in terms of its leg room space. There was inflight entertainment from Singapore to Tokyo, a journey of 7 plus hours. BUT! There wasn't any inflight entertainment from Tokyo to Detriot! I almost fainted when I board a plane without the inflight entertainment for 13 plus hours! This was the same for the return leg. You really cannot do anything other than sleeping man!

Transit in Tokyo. This was the first time the Chans touched down in Japan! They were pretty excited and Guo Hao keepss wanting to have a bento set or a bowl of ramen. so end up we had a quick lunch before catching our next flight in a few minutes time.

Terence wants to blog again...

It has been a very very long time ever since I left this blog with my last post. Thank you those people who have been visiting this boring blog site for the past years.

I have decided to make this blog as exciting and interesting as it was previously. But first, I need to wait for my new desktop purchase. Reason being the current laptop that I am using now is too laggy, and thus I cannot use my photoshop program where I can edit nice photos together. I will be getting my desktop soon... I promise!

Till then, please give me a few more days to start blogging eversince I stopped for so long.

See u soon!
